CLIENT AGREEMENT FOR PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS & PARENT COACHING

This Client Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between BabyShrink, LLC ("Consultant") and the undersigned client ("Client"). By engaging in private consultation and/or parent coaching services ("Services"), Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein.


1. NATURE OF SERVICES

  • The Services provided are private consultations and parent coaching focused on education, parenting strategies, and family support.

  • These Services are not a substitute for psychotherapy, clinical, diagnostic, or medical treatment.

  • The Consultant does not provide therapy, clinical assessments, medical advice, or mental health treatment.

 

2. NO THERAPIST-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP

By engaging in Services, the Client understands and agrees that:

  • No therapist-patient, doctor-patient, or other healthcare provider relationship is established.

  • The Services do not include diagnosing, treating, curing, or preventing any mental health or medical conditions.

  • The Consultant is not acting as a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or physician.

  • The Services are not medical or psychological advice and should not be relied upon as such.

💡 If you have concerns about your mental health or your child’s well-being, you should consult a licensed medical professional. These Services do not replace the need for professional medical or psychological support.

 

3. SCOPE OF SERVICES

Services may include, but are not limited to:
Parenting support and coaching
Child development education
Family communication strategies
Self-care guidance for parents
Non-clinical behavior management techniques

  • The Consultant provides information for educational and informational purposes only.

  • The Client retains full responsibility for any decisions made based on the information provided.

 

4. COMMUNICATION & BOUNDARIES

To ensure clarity and efficiency, the following communication guidelines apply:

  • Scheduled Sessions Only: Consultations are conducted via [Zoom/phone/email] at pre-arranged times.

  • Response Time: Consultant will respond to emails/messages within 48 business hours.

  • No Unscheduled Calls or Texts: Additional coaching support outside scheduled sessions is not included unless otherwise arranged.

  • Emergency Situations: Consultant does not provide emergency support (see Section 5).

 

5. EMERGENCY DISCLAIMER

💡 These Services are NOT a crisis or emergency resource.
If you or your child are experiencing a crisis, immediately contact a licensed professional or emergency services.

🔴 For urgent situations, please contact:

  • 911 (or your country’s emergency number)

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (U.S.): 988

  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741

  • Your pediatrician, family doctor, or licensed mental health provider

The Consultant cannot and will not respond to emergency situations or crisis interventions.

 

6. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

  • Payment is due prior to or at the time of service.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid full session charges.

  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee.

  • Rescheduling is allowed if requested at least 24 hours in advance.

  • No refunds will be issued for late cancellations or no-shows.

  • If payment is not received, services will be paused until the outstanding balance is settled.

 

7. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

The Consultant reserves the right to terminate Services if:
🚫 The Client becomes uncooperative or disruptive.
🚫 The Client repeatedly fails to comply with payment terms.
🚫 The Consultant determines that coaching is not the right fit for the Client’s needs.
🚫 The Client demonstrates abusive, inappropriate, or harassing behavior toward the Consultant.

No refunds will be issued if termination is due to breach of agreement by the Client.

 

8. CONFIDENTIALITY

  • Consultant will maintain the privacy of discussions.

  • However, these sessions are NOT covered under therapist-client confidentiality laws.

  • Consultant may disclose information if legally required (e.g., suspected child abuse, threats of harm to self/others).

 

9. FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT POLICY

  • Clients may send ONE brief follow-up email per session for clarifications only.

  • Additional support outside scheduled sessions requires booking another consultation.

📌 If ongoing support is needed, a coaching package may be recommended.

 

10. LIABILITY WAIVER

The Client agrees that:

  • Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

  • The Consultant does not guarantee specific outcomes or results.

  • Any reliance on the Services is at the Client’s sole risk.

  • The Consultant is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from Client’s use of the Services.

💡 The Client assumes full responsibility for any actions taken based on discussions in coaching sessions.

 

11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW

  • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Hawaii.

  • Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, in accordance with Hawaii arbitration laws.

  • Small Claims Court Exception: Either party may pursue a claim in Hawaii small claims court if the claim qualifies.

 

12. ACKNOWLEDGMENT & AGREEMENT

By signing below, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.

  • The Client confirms that they are not seeking therapy, clinical treatment, or medical advice through these Services.

  • The Client accepts full responsibility for any decisions made based on coaching discussions.
